James Young. Jonathan Cainer's Cosmic Ordering tour.

The Jonathan Cainer tour of bookshops.

According to Cainer, book sales are not going as planned so he is intending to undergo a tour of bookshops to drum up sales. As the book is entitled, 'Make your dreams come true' and makes the strange claim that all you have to do is place a 'Cosmic Order' after which everything is automatically granted to you, I am prone to wonder why Cainer doesn't follow his own advice and do the same. Book sales should then go through the roof without him having to lift a finger! Obviously something is wrong. However...

I have indicated to Cainer my intention to turn up at some of these personal appearances and ask some of the questions he has so far refused to answer. I would particularly like to know who is reading the Tarot cards and giving 'answers to pressing questions' or who typing out his 'personal' reports while he is on tour. Members of the media are being informed and doubtless they, too, will also want answers.

If you notice that Cainer is in town near you, why not drop in and ask him the same questions? I will gladly print his replies for all to see.

James Young. Jonathan Cainer & Tarot reading

Hello.

This latest effort by self-styed 'UK's leading Astrologer' Jonathan Cainer is a scam. Cainer offers to give you answers to pressing questions by reading your Tarot cards. As this service is 24/7 I should point out that it is a physical impossiblility for Cainer to do this. This is especially suspicious when Cainer admits to everyone that he is rushing about promoting the sales of a book. So who or what is doing the readings?

The answer is that this is yet another computer scam in which the replies' to questions are held in a database of ready-made answers. Hardly the same as 'I will read your Tarot cards', is it? He uses the same principle for his 'spookily accurate personal reports'.

Latest scam involves the use of a photograph of Magus Jean Christopher which says:

This is an outright con - don't fall for it.

General advice on Astrology.

I am an Astrologer and I can say without fear of contradiction that most of the 'Astrology' you will come across on the Web, in newspapers and magazines, or in the Media is nonsense!

This may surprise you, but due to lack of regulation anyone can set themselves up as an Astrologer and proceed to make lots of money with little or no knowledge of the subject - after all, who bothers to check their credentials? Just because someone appears on the radio or on TV or has celebrity status does not mean that they are skilled in Astrology - even though they try to give that impression. One of the offenders is the self-styled 'UK's Leading Astrologer' Jonathan Cainer. It is also true that the Sun Sign Astrologers can say whatever comes into their heads and no one will doubt them or the accuracy of their predictions. It's time that ordinary people began to keep an eye on what is being predicted to see if it comes true. I can tell you that in the vast majority of cases these prophecies fail to match up to reality. Check it out!

Apart from out and out con men, and there are plenty of these, there is another breed of pseudo-Astrologer who, armed with a computer program feely available to anyone, set themselves up as Astrologers often with sophisticated web sites and proceed to fleece the public by pretenting to give them 'personal' reports. A survey of these scams is under way and the results can be seen on my main site at:

Astrology is such a valuable subject capable of providing a lifetime of fascinating study and enlightenment and, in a practical sense, can be of immense value to the world if only the truth would emerge. Before that can happen attitudes have to change and the armies of pseudo-Astrologers will have to learn the subject properly or find some other way of conning the public.

If you want to know what Astrology is and what it can do then do explore the mass of free information available on my web site.
